Our First Night Away

Last night we spent our first night away from home with two kids. The evening went something like this:

7:30pm Jen feeds Annelise
8:00pm Randy puts Danny in his "bed" (sleeping bag in hallway)
8:15pm Randy goes for a walk to calm Annelise
8:18pm Jen cuddles Danny and gets him to stop playing with the bathroom door
8:25pm Randy returns with Annelise asleep (one victory!)
8:30pm Randy and Jen have a whispered conversation until...
8:33pm Randy checks on Danny to find him nose-to-nose on closet mirror, making faces and talking to himself
8:35 Jen falls asleep
9:00 Randy leaves an awake, but calm Danny
9:05 Randy falls asleep
???? Danny falls asleep

This was our last trip to San Diego before we move. We went to the Scripps aquarium and Balboa park. Our hotel had a pool, so Danny got to swim (his favorite!). We all had a great night's sleep. What a fun weekend!
