I love freecycle. In May, a woman posted that she was giving away her button collection. She invited people over to sit around and go through buttons. It was quite the experience (especially to those of you that know the kooky town I live in!). While going through the buttons, she told us that many of them were from her mom, now long gone, who used to cut them off of worn out clothes. Here are the buttons I gathered that day! Can't wait to use them in projects!

That sounds really cool. I haven't gotten into freecycle yet, but maybe I should give it a try.
Oh, Angela... you must give it a try. Sometimes it can be frustrating if the person doesn't "pick" you to give their stuff too, but if you give more stuff out on freecycle, I think you get more stuff yourself. Seeing the things people are getting rid of can be very interesting. I freecycle stuff that I know I couldn't sell on Craigslist. For instance, a potty-chair (a few years old), or baby wash that a child was allergic to (only used once or twice). Instead of throwing it away, someone gets some use out of it. And certainly not worth the effort of selling!
