A friend recommended this ice cream cookbook to me a few weeks ago, and I promptly went to the library to check it out. After trying a recipe and perusing through the pictures and recipes, I decided to put it on my amazon wish list. A week later my dear brother and sister-in-law got it for me for my birthday.
I LOVE it! If you have an ice cream maker, you must get The Perfect Scoop. The photographs are absolutely beautiful. So far we have enjoyed roasted banana ice cream, peanut butter chocolate ice cream and tomorrow we will be trying chocolate mint ice cream (with crumbled peppermint patties) in honor of Danny's birthday. Truthfully, I should get to the lower fat sorbets, yogurts and granitas featured in the book, but the ice creams are so good!
