Our garden is looking great these days. That's because Jen's dad, John, helped us pick out plants that would do well with our sun and shade mixture. This morning we spent an hour or so putting in annuals before the heat became unbearable. (The humidity is here!)

Our Garden

Looks great! A little planting direction makes all the difference..l
Looks beautiful! Have you tried lavender? It's such a hearty plant and then jen could do something crafty with it...oh like lavender eye pillows, sachets.... oh the possibilities!
What do you mean you don't plant your garden with craft projects in mind?!?!!? :)
Oh yes... I have thought many times of planting lavender. Our little flower bed doesn't get enough sun and the soil has too much clay. If I were to put them in a sunny spot, they would have to be in a pot on the back deck. Not sure how I feel about all the bees they would attract there or if they would get the proper drainage. We'll see!
