I knit with Lamb's Pride Bulky wool (the first picture is actually a different kind of wool) on circular needles, around and around and then a decrease. After I tied everything off, I felted in my washing machine. That is a pretty amazing experience because all of a sudden all the stitches disappear and the bowl has shrunk! Then they need to dry (I shaped mine over real bowls) for a few days. Then I filled them with Ghirardelli chocolate squares and wrapped them up. Doing the large, medium and small allows for nesting bowls, too.

Felted Bowls
As most of you know, I have become a knitter again (after a 4 year hiatus). One of my handmade gifts this year was the felted bowl. I loved this project I found in Oneskein (a great book I checked out from my library). Their pattern can make either a large or medium sized bowl. I also adapted it to make small bowls. These bowls go together quickly and simply. I enjoyed them because all you do is knit, so I could talk with my friends in my knitting group without losing track of the pattern.
