We celebrated Annelise's birthday on March 17th by inviting some friends and family to our place for lunch and cake. My parents and Randy's mom were able to come out from the west coast, which was great. We also invited Danny's friends and their younger siblings and parents and a couple of colleagues of Randy's who have kids. We were pleased that many were able to come. Randy and I were remembering Danny's birthday in September, where it was just the four of us, and only 6 months later being able to host a party of about 20 (including kids). That increase is pretty good!
We had a light snow the night before, so it was cold and the ground was covered in icy snow, but the kids played in the basement. We had sandwiches, veggies and chips for lunch and a yellow cake with chocolate filling. Annelise was a little tired because her morning nap hadn't gone so well, but she enjoyed all of the festivities. She ate some cake, watched the kids play and helped Dad open presents. It was a very relaxing party. Randy and I were also pleased that our parents got to meet some of our friends.
Pounce.
