Winter Skin Favorites

Occasionally I get to thinking about things I can't live without. Today I want to share with you, my friends and family, some of my more recent findings! Coming out of my first real winter, I had to learn some things about skincare that I never needed to know in beautiful Southern California!

*Eucerin Calming Cream... In November I realized that my skin was really getting irritated by the cold/heat of traveling from outside to the (over)heated inside. I used to be able to use the standard Vaseline lotion or even Lubriderm year-round, but that wasn't helping. I finally bought myself a tube of this stuff and love it! It has saved my poor winter skin!

*Vaseline Deep Moisture Creamy... This is basically a creamy formula of petroleum jelly. I have even gotten the WalMart version and it works wonderfully for hands and feet. Danny suffers from all kinds of weird skin stuff (like both his mom and dad!), and I apply this regularly to his chapped hands. Only a couple of applications and our hands look like what they should be! (We both get severely dry skin, to the point of cracking and bleeding...yuck.)

*Carmex... I have used this off and on for years, but this winter I found it to be a necessity! I wish they made it with sunscreen so I wouldn't have to alternate it with other lip balms. At the first hint of chapped lips (again, Danny and I both suffer), we start drinking more water and apply Carmex! I prefer the tube, but the pot works well, too!

OK, enough of the advertisements... if you find yourself in wintry cold lands needing moisture give these things a try! How about you? Any winter skin products that make your life better?
