The Maryland Diet (and other maladies)

As most of you know, we have had a steady stream of visitors, both family and friends, since we have moved to Maryland. As you also know, we have suffered some pretty crazy illnesses since we moved here. It is no surprise then, that the visitors and illnesses can overlap.

This last week my parents got to experience it all first-hand. In November, a college friend and Randy's mom got to witness the glories of pneumonia and a 31-year-old male (Randy). Several visitors have witnessed (and caught) the colds we have constantly battled. But this time, my parents got to experience the Maryland Diet. I coined it that because out of the 10 days that they were here, 7 of those had someone who didn't feel like eating. It started with Randy, the night before they arrived, then my dad, my mom, and finally (1 whole week after Randy) I caught it! The kids were left untouched, amazingly... you know how I feel about little kids and throw-up! Fortunately I was feeling better in time to host a birthday party for Miss A, and we were able to welcome Randy's mom, who didn't get the bug!

I don't want to discourage visitors, because we sure have enjoyed people visiting, but you better know what you could be in for!
